Blended non-peated Japanese whisky
The small Kurayoshi Distillery of Shuzo Matsui has a very recent but promising history: located at the foot of Mount Daisen, on the coast of Tottori Prefecture, in the southern part of Honshu island, it draws water from a spring of absolute quality and benefits from a microclimate that guarantees an annual temperature range, influenced by the Sea of Japan, perfect for whisky aging, with conditions similar to the Scottish islands.
Non-peated whisky, it is fresh and pleasant on the palate thanks to intriguing notes of pear and vanilla; aging in ex-Bourbon barrels gives it freshness and a fruity side, for a whisky very rich in aromas, for which pure water, extracted from the underground of Mount Daisen, is used for dilution, offering a soft and velvety taste.
