Some of the most popular pipe models feature bar-coded labels. Missuri Meerschaum has done this in recent years following demand from wholesalers who use UPC scanning devices for inventory and sales. Some other pipes feature the traditional factory label, and most of them have a wooden plug at the bottom of the bowl. Some of the newer pipes feature labels, such as the Stag label, created for the 155th anniversary. Cornel & Diehl pipes have C&D labels, as they are collaborative pipes.
